Who are we?
Our Story
A journey through Asia, a philosophy of care, and the conviction that skin is never treated en masse.
It all started long before K-Beauty became a global trend. Over the years, travels in Asia — South Korea, China, Japan, and many other countries — forged more than just curiosity. These trips didn't all have the same purpose: sometimes business meetings, sometimes visiting friends, sometimes pure tourism, sometimes a deep desire to understand how cultures so different from ours approached life, body, health, and beauty. Each stay brought its own lesson. But one constant kept coming back, tirelessly.
The women encountered there — whether Korean, Chinese, or Japanese — had a relationship with their skin that was nothing like what we know in the West. Not an obsession, not a luxury. A ritual. A daily, natural, almost philosophical gesture, inherited from traditional Asian medicine that has been healing for millennia with what nature offers: ginseng to revitalize, centella asiatica to repair, fermented rice to brighten, marine algae to deeply hydrate. Ingredients that the Western cosmetic industry took decades to "discover," while they had always been used in Asian kitchens and skincare rituals.
We don't seek to correct the skin — we respect it, nourish it, protect it. We almost talk to it.
What truly stood out was not just the effectiveness of these products. It was the philosophy behind them. And this gentle, patient, and deeply respectful approach to the body changed the way care was conceived in a broader sense.
But these journeys also taught something essential, often ignored in advertisements and beauty trends: every skin is unique. Not just from one continent to another, not just from one country to another — but from one region to another, from one person to another, and even from one season to another on the same person. What your cousin uses with spectacular results will not necessarily be what you need. What an influencer recommends will not necessarily match your skin type, your climate, your lifestyle, your history.
This is precisely where everything changed. The realization that the European market was flooded with mass-produced products, without real consideration for the diversity of skin types, needs, and lifestyles. Universal promises for skins that are not. Trends sold as solutions. And lost customers, who tried product after product without ever really finding what suited them.
My Korean Beauty was born from this conviction: skincare should never be a mass affair.
Our approach is not commercial. It is cultural, human, and deeply personal. Every product you find in our store has been meticulously selected — not because it's trendy, but because it meets a real need, is formulated with quality ingredients, and aligns with this Asian philosophy of intelligent and respectful care.
